Leah said: “I have been a presenter predominantly for 22 years now, so I’ve done pretty much everything.
“I started off in kids TV, with children’s ITV being my first gig back in 2001.”
She then moved firmly in a different direction, taking on late-night casino show Jackpot 24/7.
She said: “Then for the last six years till just before the pandemic I used to do that late night casino show on ITV, Jackpot 24/7.
“Lots of people come home late at night, drunk most of the time.”
She added: “They would say, ‘I see you, I watch you, I don’t even gamble, you just entertain me, you’re so funny’.
“I get that a lot!”
Leah has a big personality and is hoping audiences will see this on A Place in the Sun.
She said: “My shows seem to be quite dramatic actually but in a really good way. And I’m loving it!

“Everyone’s going, ‘God Leah you’re really bringing this different flavour!’
“I don’t mean to, it’s just the way it turns out.
She added: “But I really connect with my house hunters, that is of paramount importance to me.”
Leah and her family have been watching A Place in the Sun for years, with her having a history in property because of her relatives.
The presenter said: “My family actually owns a lot of properties and my uncles particularly have been buying and flipping properties for years.
“What would happen is when I didn’t have work I would go and help them out, and that’s how I got to know about properties.”
She revealed: “Plus, my family have a lot of land in St Lucia and Grenada so we have built houses and are still building. I have been around it.”
Leah said: “So when the job came around I was like I know about properties, I’m a presenter, this is the perfect job for me!
“And I went for it and yes they were like she’s the one and here I am telling the tale!”
Other presenters on the show include Jasmine Harman, Jonnie Irwin, Laura Hamilton, and Scarlette Douglas to name a few.
Jasmine and Jonnie have been on the show the longest, starting in 2004.
Leah’s first A Place in the Sun episode will air on November 15, with the new series starting on Monday.
