Former President Donald Trump wrote a letter to the editor to The Wall Street Journal to complain that a newspaper editorial didn’t say the 2020 presidential election was ‘rigged.’
In a letter published by The Journal on Wednesday, Trump took offense that a WSJ editorial backing Pennsylvania Republican state Supreme Court nominee Judge Kevin Brobson said that now President Joe Biden ‘won the state by 80,555.’
‘Well actually, the election was rigged, which you, unfortunately, still haven’t figured out,’ Trump told The Journal.
Former President Donald Trump wrote a letter to the editor of The Wall Street Journal, which the newspaper published Wednesday, complaining that the outlet didn’t agree with him that the presidential election was ‘rigged’
The ex-president laid out a number of conspiracy theories that are part of the so-called ‘big lie’ including that the Keystone State processed ‘10,515 mail-in votes from people who do not exist on the Pennsylvania voter rolls at all.’
Trump also accused his Attorney General BIll Barr of pressuring U.S. Attorney Bill McSwain not to investigate election irregularities.
‘And so much more! This is why Democrats and the Fake News Media do not want a full forensic audit in Pennsylvania. In reality, 80,555 ballots are nothing when there is this much corruption or voter irregularities,’ Trump concluded.
Overall, Trump listed 20 bullet points to make his argument.
The letter was signed by a ‘Donald J. Trump’ of Palm Beach, Florida – where the ex-president relocated after leaving Washington.
The WSJ’s Editorial Board penned an op-ed Sunday endorsing Brobson, saying that while he wouldn’t upset the balance of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court, which tilts Democratic, his election would send a message from voters that they disapprove of judges ‘who rewrite black letter election law.’
The Journal lambasted the Pennsylvania Democratic-leaning state Supreme Court saying justices ‘conjured a COVID-19 exception’ to allow mail-in ballots come in three days after election day.
‘State law clearly says mail ballots must be received by 8 p.m. on Election Day,’ the op-ed noted.
The Editorial Board warned that the presidential election could have been thrown to the Supreme Court, yet again, had voting been tighter in Pennsylvania.
‘This didn’t matter because Mr. Biden won the state by 80,555, but the country is lucky the election wasn’t closer,’ the opinion piece read.
To Trump, however, the dig did matter, prompting him to write the letter.
