When making an appearance on ‘Jimmy Kimmel Live!’, the ‘When the Party’s Over’ hitmaker discusses her awkward 2019 interview, in which she struggled to answer 1980s trivia questions.
AceShowbiz –Billie Eilish has called out Jimmy Kimmel for making her look “a little stupid” in an awkward 2019 interview. The “Happier Than Ever” hitmaker confronted the TV host when making an appearance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live!“.
“Wait, really quick, do you remember the last time I was here? And you made me look a little stupid,” the 19-year-old singer asked Jimmy in the Wednesday, October 14 episode of the talk show, referring to moment when she struggled to answer 1980s trivia questions in her past interview. Slightly flustered, the TV host answered, “Well, yeah, accidentally. I didn’t do it on purpose.”
Billie then replied, “I thought it was funny because I was playing along and everybody thought I was actually serious and didn’t know anything.” Jimmy went on to recall when the Grammy-winning singer wasn’t familiar with Van Halen. “I did know [them],” she argued.
“Yes, there was a lot things you asked, and I was like, ‘I don’t know,’ ” Billie jokingly added. Jimmy then told the “Ocean Eyes” songstress that people “jumped down your throat” for lack of knowledge about the group. “It was funny,” she admitted. “I didn’t really care.”
Elsewhere in the interview, Billie and Jimmy discussed the singer’s recent appearance at the London premiere for “No Time to Die“. For the film, she co-wrote its theme song with her brother, FINNEAS, which earned them a Grammy earlier this year for best song written for visual media.
Billie also spoke about meeting the royals during the James Bond event. “There was a whole list of things I had to follow,” the “Bad Guy” singer confessed. Offering her thoughts on the royals, she went on admitting that “they were just so normal.”
Billie further explained, “They didn’t make me feel like, ‘Oh, I’m scared I can’t talk to them.’ They [were] just complementary and they had all these questions for me.” She went on praising the royals as saying, “They were just very friendly and funny and sweet. I can’t complain. It was amazing.”
