Mindy Kaling shared a touching tribute to Kobe Bryant on what would have been his 43rd birthday.

The “Mindy Project” star, 42, shared a photo of her 3-year-old daughter, Katherine, wearing the late athlete’s Lakers jersey on Instagram Monday.

“Happy birthday Kobe. I’m reminded of your impact daily. For instance, here is a picture of my daughter at ballet when she refused to take off your jersey and put on her leotard and tutu,” she captioned the adorable snap.

Fans flooded the comments with praise, and a few suggested that Kaling enroll her toddler in basketball lessons to honor not only Kobe, but also his late daughter Gianna, who was killed in the same helicopter crash in January 2020.

Kaling wasn’t the only one commemorating Bryant’s birthday; his wife Vanessa Bryant posted a loving message to the basketball great on Instagram, writing, “Happy birthday, Papi. Te Amo por siempre. Amor Eterno. ❤️? 43″ — which translates to, “I love you forever. Eternal love.”

Their 18-year-old daughter Natalia, who started college at the University of Southern California this year, also posted a throwback photo of herself sitting on her dad’s lap during a press conference.
