MANCHESTER CITY fans are salivating at the prospect of Harry Kane joining them after his goal against Ukraine – which was set up by City superstar Raheem Sterling.

Sterling – England's player of the tournament – set the Tottenham hitman up in the third minute of Saturday night's Euro 2020 quarter-final tie with a beautiful through ball.

Kane, 27, made no mistake from inside the 18-yard box, poking the ball past the onrushing Heorhiy Bushchan.

The England skipper's burying of the chance sent City fans into a state of delirium, with one saying: "If Harry Kane & Sterling get on City together."

Another said: "Sterling Kane city connection."

And another said: "Kane and Sterling at city next year, yeah the league is f****d."

One remarked: "If City do manage to acquire Kane it’ll be a madness because him and Sterling have found their chemistry when it comes to goal scoring in."

Another said: "Kane and Sterling getting used to playing with each other as they will be for Man City's 2021/2022 Premier League season."

Spurs hitman Kane is on the wish-list of City boss Pep Guardiola, who has tabled an offer for the prolific forward.

SunSport understands the Spaniard has submitted a £100million bid for Tottenham's main man, who is eager to move on to pastures new.

Tottenham, however, don't plan on letting their talismanic striker leave without a fight.

Spurs chief Daniel Levy wants at least £150m for the club's golden goose, who has three years left on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Kane is all too aware of the speculation surrounding his future but has refused to allow it affect his preparations for the tournament.

He told The BBC: "I'm sure I'll get asked about it a lot but my most important thing is trying to win a major tournament with England.

"The rest of the stuff will happen obviously when I get back from the tournament but for now that's all I'm focused on."

He added: "I'm not someone who listens to the noise anyway, whether it's good or bad to be honest.

"I try to never get too high or too low. I'm here to give everything for my country."
