Viewers of This Morning were heartbroken today after a competition winner revealed she only has three months to live.
Brave Heather broke the news to Alison Hammond that she has been given the terminal diagnosis after battling breast cancer.
She was hoping to win money to be able to thow a “wake me up before you go go” party before her passing.
Alison was presenting the Dosh On Your Doorstep segment and was visibly moved, exclaiming “Oh Heather!” when she told her the news.
Heather explained: "I got diagnosed with breast cancer in 2019, I then got the all clear just before my 40th birthday, I thought things were getting back to normal."
"I then got told I had brain metastases, so now I am getting myself organised," Heather said.
"I have been told I've got three months to live, so I am going to have a 'wake me up before I go, go' party, a party before my passing."
It was also revealed that this wasn’t the first time Heather had appeared on the show, as they showed a previous appearance where she proposed to her husband.
Heather correctly answered all of the questions, including one about her favourite artist, Craig David.
She won an incredible £1,000.
Alison asked: "How do you continue to be upbeat for your sons and your husband?"
Heather answered simply: "Because there is no point moping, it is what it is, if I mope it won't help my family, my husband or my children. So I am in auto-mode at the moment."
It wasn’t only £1,000 for Heather either, as they also had a video message for her from Craig David.
Heather broke down in happy tears when Craig sang happy birthday to her for next week.
Alison lightened the mood by joking that Heather should book strippers at her party with her prize fund.
Things got even better when Phil and Holly told Heather that they were adding another £1,000 to Heather's fund.
Altogether she won £2,000, the message from Craig David and a bonus rugby prize trip, as her husband and family are fans of the sport.
Later in the show, Phil and Holly revealed Heather had gained more than 10,000 more Instagram followers since her appearance on the show.
One viewer tweeted: "Wow. That was emotional. Well done Heather. Hope she has the best party. #ThisMorning at its best there."
Another added: "What a brave and lovely lady Heather is, her attitude is uplifting and very inspiring."
The tears were flowing: “Actually sobbing at This Morning and Heather being so brave about only having three months to live!"
