Ashley Cain has opened up about his heartache over Father's Day, following the tragic death of his daughter Azaylia.
Ex On The Beach star Ashley's baby daughter Azaylia was just eight months old when she passed away, following a brave battle with a rare form of leukemia.
Months on Ashley, who shares Aazylia with his partner Safiyya Vorajee, has continued to be incredibly honest about his grief and has opened up on how particularly difficult Father's Day will be.
In a post shared on Saturday 19 June shared on his Instagram story, Ashley wrote: "It was only when my dad rang me yesterday and asked me if I'd like to go round his house for food today because he couldn't cope with Father's Day this year, that I realised it was Father's Day tomorrow.
"It's cut me so deep that I never got the chance to have Father's Day while Azaylia was here with me and I'm already feeling like tomorrow is going to be one of the hardest days yet." He then added a broken heart emoji.
Ashley and Safiyya's daugther Azaylia was born in August 2020, two months after Father's Day and she tragically passed away in April this year.
Later heartbroken Ashley, who recently revealed he had a photograph of Azaylia printed on his bedsheets, discussed how he had been tempted to have a drink but turned to exercise instead.
Speaking about his decision to stay active and make positive decisions Ashley explained: "I want to be as fresh as possible for tomorrow so I can get up, I can run eight miles, I can bike 30 miles, and I can go and spend some time down with my daughter for Father's Day.
"She's given me the strength, y'know – and I'm starting to make the right decisions in my life for the right reasons. Let's go champ."
Ashley, who recently said he's battling a constant cycle of anxiety and depression, later visited his daughter's grave and shared videos on his Instagram story.
As he posted a clip of the grave filled with flowers and stuffed toys, he credited his daughter for: "My strength My power My Purpose".
It comes after Ashley heartbreakingly revealed he was haunted by the fact Azyalia passed away in his arms.
