USUALLY when a note is left on your car, you immediately think it's going to be bad thing, but for one mum a piece of paper tucked into her door handle was just what she needed.

Mum-of-three Genevieve Spark had headed back to her car after shopping and saw a note had been left for her, but what she didn't expect was the sweet message it contained.

After a stressful school run dropping off her daughter, six, while juggling her three-year-old son and nine-week-old baby, Genevieve was left "holding back happy tears" after another mum reached out in a show of support.

Posting to Facebook group Family Lowdown Tips and Ideas, Genevieve revealed that a woman named Sarah had spotted her and her children and decided to get in touch.

The note read: "You have beautiful children! Thanks for making me smile today from my car.

"From one mum to another you are doing a fab job!! Sarah x."

Genevieve shared a picture of the note alongside a snap of how it was left in her car door handle and explained: "If you were to see a note on your car on returning from a shop, you’d automatically assume the worst… wouldn’t you?!

"Well I instantly thought 'oh god, what is this?' Then I read the note… and wow! I instantly started tearing up but held the happy tears back so my beautiful children didn’t see!"

She continued: "This was after dropping my 6yo daughter off at school and my 9 week old baby boy cried all the way in the car and I was distressed hearing his bad cry (he has a possible allergy or intolerance), my baby boy was also most likely feeling distressed cos he just wanted me, (even though I was right there and just couldn’t get to him whilst driving) and my nearly 3yo son just sat patiently in his seat staring out the window.

"From one stranger to another and one mother to another, THANK YOU SO MUCH for this amazing message to me this morning! It honestly made my day

you just never know how someone might be feeling and this definitely made me feel better at that moment in time!

"I’m glad we made you smile too

(I hope this message gets back to Sarah! It was in Matalan car park in Leeds- Halton at around 9:30ish) #positivemessages #mentalhealth #bekind #happytears."

Speaking to Fabulous, Genevieve revealed that she has since tracked down Sarah, thanks to her post being shared around online.

Sarah got in touch and messaged Genevieve after seeing it pop up in another Facebook group.

Fellow mums loved Genevieve's post, with hundreds commenting and praising Sarah for her lovely gesture.

"More Sarah’s less Karens I say! What a sweet note," said one mum.

Another posted: "We should start a revolution how wonderful if we all did something like this for other people instead of tearing each other down build each other up."

A third person suggested: "Frame it.. and every time [you're] having a bad day – look at it to remind yourself how amazing you are. What a wonderful gesture."

Meanwhile, one mum was left mortified after discovering her six-year-old daughter has been leaving secret notes for the cleaner & they’re VERY demanding.

Plus, one woman left a secret note in her man’s bathroom after suspecting he’s cheating on her.

And this lady was left in tears after builders find secret notes hidden in walls of her old house from 30 years ago.
