MRS Hinch may be the queen of clean when it comes to Instagram, but there’s a new cleaning guru on the horizon when it comes to TikTok.
Sarah Levasseur has over 105,000 followers on her TikTok account where she has shared hundreds of clips of her tidying tips and tricks.
But the mum-of-three, originally from the US but now lives in Suffolk, says she has only recently become passionate about cleaning.
Speaking exclusively to Fabulous Digital, she said: “I'm shocked. Honestly I can't believe that many people would want to watch me clean my house.
“I used to really not like cleaning and my house definitely showed that.
“But then I started watching YouTube videos and they really motivated me to do the same.
“I saw how nice people’s houses could look and I thought – I want my house to look like that.”
The military wife now dedicates time everyday to making sure her house is spick and span.
“I have set a schedule for myself. I have a list of things that I do daily like cleaning the living room, tidying up the kitchen, stuff like that” she says.
“On Mondays I will do my eldest daughter’s laundry, clean her room. I will do the floors, the windows, dusting, everything in there.
“And then the following day I will move on to a different room.”
And like so many cleanfluencers, Sarah now sees her hectic cleaning schedule as therapeutic.
“It’s so relaxing, motivating myself is kind of hard but at the end when everything is nice it’s just so satisfying and it pushes me to actually do it” she says.
“As a mum it gives me time to myself.”
Sarah is mum to a seven year old, a five year old and a one year old, and while she enjoys having the time to herself to clean, she also uses her hobby to spend time with her children.
“I get my older two kids in on the chores,” Sarah says.
“Before bed we typically clean up the living room. I’ll have them washing baseboards and walls and stuff like that.
“I try to make it fun for them so that they can help me at the same time.
“I have them quite well trained.”
Sarah’s most popular video, which amassed over 15 million views, saw her using different coloured bleach to create a pattern in her toilet bowl – a trick that has since been picked up all over TikTok.
And the mum says that she has been overwhelmed with the “pretty” cleaning products since moving to the UK.
She says: “I definitely think that the cleaning products over here are better.
“America does not have all of these fun colours and smells plus they are more expensive than they are here.
“I'm really liking the Fabulosa products.
“I probably spend more than the average person but I get most of my stuff at Home Bargains or B&M to keep costs down.”
And while Sarah is all for experimenting with different products, she was quick to warn people about mixing chemicals.
“I see a lot of people mixing chemicals, and that’s very dangerous” she says, “You don't have to mix with anything for them to do their job.”
In fact Sarah has big plans to pass on her cleaning wisdom to a younger generation.
She explains: “I want to do a back to basics type of cleaning series focusing less on fancy products, but things that everybody can afford.
“I have a lot of kids contacting me about how they wish their mum would clean like I do, or how they wish they knew how to do it themselves.
“And I want to show them that they can clean even if they don’t have a whole lot of money.
“You really don't need fancy stuff to clean your home.”
In other news, Mrs Hinch says "this time will be different" as she opens up about baby number two.
And this super-organised mum reveals how to never spend more than an hour cleaning.
