Hendrix (Benny Turland) has got himself up to the eyeballs in trouble. Not only did he plan to run a dangerous con, he then found himself mixed up with the likes of Kane Jones (Barry Conrad).
And worse, he asked Kane to spot him money – and now Kane wants it back.
It was a substantial sum and not one that Kane is about to let go. It’s also of course a sum Hendrix doesn’t even come close to having, otherwise he wouldn’t have borrowed it in the first place. So he’s in deep doo doo.
Kane is on Hendrix’s case, letting him know that he’d better get his money back sharpish, or else. Knowing how much trouble he’s in, Hendrix is up to his eyeballs in stress and cannot enjoy Christmas one bit. All he can think about is what Kane is going to do to him. Where is he going to find that amount of cash? He can’t come clean to his rich dad, he’ll have to sort this one out himself, but how?
Kane wants his money and he turns the screws. He sends Hendrix a message that makes things very clear, if Kane doesn’t get paid he’ll have murder in mind.
The death threat rocks Hendrix to the core. He thought he was doing so well in his new independent life, but it turns out he doesn’t have what it takes to survive. He goes into full-on panic mode. How will he get out of this one?
Jay tries to calm him down with a wild suggestion – that he steals the diamond necklace Pierce (Don Hany) bought and uses that to pay off the debt.
It’s a wild idea, but it might just work. Will Hendrix resort to crime to keep the criminal from killing him? Or will he end up being a victim of Kane’s?
Scenes air from Monday 25th January on Channel 5.
