Thom Browne’s busy 2021 continues, following the galactic Spring/Summer 2021 collection with the first animalistic drop of Fall 2021. Building off themes explored in the recent Animal Icon range, the New York-based designer and his team have realized an offering that both channels the preppy codes that Browne is beloved for and explores adventurous new realms.

Holding true to Browne’s standard of extreme quality, the new assortment delivers uncompromisingly high-end suits, knitwear and various down-filled outerwear pieces, yielding thoughtful items ideal for transitioning out of warm weather. Furthermore, Shetland and donegal tweeds mix with heavier hunting tweeds in a setting that accentuates the first fall delivery’s theme; throughout, 10 pieces of hand-drawn artwork appear in intarsia, patchwork and print to tell the story of a bear and salmon that become friends.

To reinforce this motif, both seasonal icons inform new editions of Browne’s critter-shaped bags. The outdoorsy attitude is mirrored in several seasonal styles, including lumberjack-friendly beanies and generously pleated trench coats. The progressive layers above are anchored by some new footwear below, including some heavy-duty hiking books and duck boots capable of beating back inclement weather.

This first edition of Thom Browne’s Fall 2021 collection debuts on Thom Browne’s website, stores and stockists like HBX in April and May of 2021.

Most recently, Browne imagined a selection of football-friendly sportswear items.
