Country crooner Dolly Parton saved young co-star Talia Hill from an oncoming car on the set of the recently released Netflix movie Christmas on the Square.
Hill (9), who plays the youngest of three siblings in the film, revealed to Inside Edition that the incident took place just as she was returning to her mark on the set after a quick hot chocolate break. She shared that she felt somebody physically pull her backward, and when she looked up, she gasped in the realization that it was Parton herself.
“And she’s like, ‘Well, I am an angel, you know,'” she added, referencing the fact that Parton plays the role of an angel in the movie. “She hugged me and shook me and said, ‘I saved your life!'”
The film, which released on Netflix last month, was directed by Debbie Allen of “Grey’s Anatomy,” and stars Parton alongside Jenifer Lewis, Treat Williams, and Jeanine Mason.
