Supermarket chain Asda is urgently recalling more than a dozen children’s products over fears they may not be safe.
Posting on Twitter, Asda issued an urgent safety notice about children’s dressing gowns that it sells both online and in store.
The retail giant posted a warning about a series of children’s gowns over the cotton hood lining, the Manchester Evening News reports.
According to Asda’s website “the cotton jersey hood lining used in these styles doesn't meet the stringent flammability requirement.”
And parents were warned on social media that up to 23 dressing gowns could be affected.
Writing on Twitter, the superstore said: “RECALL NOTICE: We've found that the hood lining in some of our children's dressing gowns doesn't meet the stringent flammability requirements set out by George and the UK Nightwear (Safety) Regulations."
A second tweet added: "If you've purchased any of these gowns you should stop using it immediately and bring it back to your nearest store where you'll be given a full refund, or contact Asda Customer Relations. You don't need your receipt."
