Larissa Lima and her boyfriend Eric Nichols have had a strained relationship in the past. But after working out their issues on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, the couple revealed some surprising news. In the season finale, Larissa and Eric stunned their friends (and fans) when they revealed that they sleep on separate beds in the same room.
The ’90 Day Fiancé’ couple broke up multiple times
Earlier on this season of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Larissa revealed that she had broken up with Eric multiple times. She claimed the two weren’t having sex and that Eric made her pay for everything.
So when the two got back together, Larissa’s friends, Carmen and Hannah, were not thrilled. And Carmen, who stood by Larissa’s side though her arrests and divorce from Colt Johnson, was not ready to see her friend get back into a toxic relationship with Eric.
But Carmen and Hannah’s reaction to Larissa’s reconciliation with Eric didn’t come as much of a surprise. While they were broken up, he hung out with Colt and swapped stories about Larissa and their sex life.
Larissa was livid when she found out Eric trash-talked her. But after a huge blowout fight, he apologized, and she ultimately forgave him.
Eric and Larissa seem to be in a better place
In the Sept. 20 episode of 90 Day Fiancé: Happily Ever After, Larissa finally reveals her new body to Carmen and Hannah. She tells her friends that after her dual rhinoplasty and breast augmentation procedures, Eric stepped up to take care of her.
And Eric admits that they aren’t arguing as much because Larissa is much happier with her new body. “Things are good,” he tells Carmen and Hannah. “I think they’re better than they’ve been.”
Carmen seems to be watching Larissa and Eric’s dynamic closely. And after learning how he cared for her friend, she tells producers that she’s now hoping the couple continues on this positive path.
“When Larissa and Eric broke up, I was kind of happy because the relationship was pretty toxic,” Carmen says. “So, when she decided to come back with Eric, and at the same time, she did the surgery, I just decided to take a step back and see how he would act…if he would be a good boyfriend and take care of her. And I think he did a great job. Relationships are not perfect, they’re going to fight, but I really hope this time they will not keep breaking up every single day. They’re just going to handle the situation and find a solution.”
The 90 Day Fiancé stars reveal they sleep in separate beds
While talking to Carmen and Hannah about their post-surgery relationship journey, Eric and Larissa admit that they’ve recalibrated their sleeping arrangements. After realizing they need space, Larissa reveals she and Eric now sleep separately.
“Eric and I, we decide to stay in the same room, but in different beds,” she tells her friends. “It was my idea, and it worked,” Eric adds.
Larissa says that with the new sleeping arrangements, she and Eric “don’t argue anymore.” Eric suggests their room looks like a hotel room and insists that it’s perfectly “normal.”
“We decided to have the same room but separate beds,” Larissa says in a confessional. “We like to spend time on the phone, do our own thing, like two cats. Two cats like to keep a distance, but sometimes they like to get along.”
Hannah and Carmen looked a little confused at the revelation. “Larissa and Eric’s living quarters is super weird,” Hannah admits. “They don’t share a bed, it’s super weird, but I guess if it works for them.”
Hopefully, in the upcoming tell-all special, Larissa and Eric will update fans on their relationship status. And who knows? They may even give viewers a glimpse of their hotel-like bedroom.
