The Circle bosses have taken drastic action to try and stem a leak that threatens to ruin the upcoming series of the hit Channel 4 show.
Producers acted swiftly to axe Miss Great Britain 2020 Jen Atkin from the show just days before filming was due to start after her name as one of the contestants was leaked.
Daily Star Online previously revealed how Jen had been booked to take part in the show and was set to enter the circle as her former self ahead of her major weight-loss journey.
A source told Daily Star Online: "The Circle is one of Channel 4's biggest shows so a leak is a disaster for them.
"The contestants have already been picked but unlike shows such as Love Island they were not in hiding.
"Filming is due to start this week but right now plans are in tatters.
"They had to act quickly and axe Jen from the show as soon as she was linked to the series as other contestants would know she was acting which would make the whole thing pointless.
"It could have been TV gold – naturally Jen is gutted."
A rep for Channel 4 has been contacted for comment.

Jen, who has been on a impressive weight loss journey in recent years, was keen to see how those in The Circle would treat her if they thought she was her former self.
A source previously told Daily Star Online: "Jen is the current Miss Great Britain and is the stereotypical Instagram babe but she wasn't always that way.
"Jen's been on a major weight loss journey and that will be her storyline.
"She will only be using pictures of her larger former Miss GB self and wants to see how people react – she was bullied when she was younger because of her weight so it will be interesting to see how things go down."
