But it is the opening run of fixtures that will determine if United have the quality to close the gap on rivals Liverpool and Man City at the top of the league.
Solskjaer's side head into the campaign third favourites to lift their first title since 2013.
Elsewhere Liverpool will take on newly promoted Leeds, Chelsea travel to Brighton and Arsenal face London rivals Fulham.
