After the devastating events of the original Fox series’ first instalment for Netflix, the world’s first woman, Eve, is scheduled to make another appearance on Lucifer. Although she spent most of the last season chasing after the devil himself, some fans are certain Eve’s original husband will eventually make an appearance.

Following a troubled production amid the coronavirus pandemic, the first half of Lucifer’s highly anticipated fifth season will drop on Netflix on August 21.

However, Lucifer’s friends, including his newly admitted first love Chloe Decker (Lauren German), are in for a shock when his twin brother Michael takes a trip to LA.
Now, it’s up to Chloe, Amenadiel (DB Woodside) and Mazikeen (Lesley-Ann Brandt) to rescue Lucifer and put a stop to Michael’s devilish plans.

- Lucifer recap: When does Chloe find out about Lucifer?
Following the release of a new trailer, some fans are still certain Lucifer’s fifth season is keeping a number of secrets up its sleeve.
Possession, body-swapping and mistaken identities have all been staples of Lucifer in the past, and there may be more to Michael that meets the eye.
Moreover, with the confirmation of Lucifer’s first love, and the world’s first woman, Eve (Inbar Lavi) coming back for season five, her return has put one major question in the minds of ‘Lucifans’.
Surely it’s only a matter of time before Eve’s first husband Adam joins the action?
In the world of Lucifer, the Heavenly pairing went their separate ways when Eve realised God’s first man still harboured feelings for his original wife, Lilith.
During season four, Eve claimed Adam spends most of his time lounging around in Heaven and watching ESPN.
However, now Lucifer’s showrunner Ildy Modrovich has teased a blossoming relationship between Eve and Mazikeen, Adam may finally see what he’s been missing all these millennia.
With Lucifer currently in self-exile, Adam could find a way to disguise himself as the devil’s Earthly vessel to enact his romantic revenge.

The new trailer has revealed Michael will strike up a steamy and highly unethical affair with Lucifer’s long-standing love interest Chloe.
If the theory is true, Adam may have planted himself on Earth to make Eve jealous and hijack her slowly developing romance with Lucifer’s best friend, Maze.
Although Eve has yet to make an appearance in the first footage for season five, Lucifer’s showrunners had plenty to say about her impending return.
Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson told Entertainment Weekly: “We are so excited to have Inbar back!”

The writers continued by teasing how Eve’s return will further complicate Lucifer’s love life in season five.
They said: “Last we saw her, Eve broke Maze’s heart. Soooo… a reunion between our favourite demon and the original sinner should go smoothly, right?”
If Adam does eventually make an appearance in the series, Eve’s ongoing love triangle could be taken to the next mind-boggling level for season six.
Lucifer Season 5 Part 1 will be released August 21 on Netflix.
