Gemma Collins had viewers in hysterics on Sunday night over how she pronounced Prince Charles’ name.

‘It’s Prince Chiles,’ Gemma said in her new ITV show Diva in Lockdown.

The 39-year-old was all set to drop her Diva Forever series but changed things up following the coronavirus outbreak.

So while there are segments that were filmed ahead of Boris Johnson sending the UK into lockdown, the Towie star has also recorded a number of scenes from the comfort of her own home.

Before the world descended into chaos, the GC found herself on a red carpet, where she got to meet a number of her fans.

Although while Gemma was getting herself all glammed up for the event, she couldn’t quite pronounce the Prince’s name correctly, and fans were in stitches.

Taking to Twitter one viewer commented: ‘I’ve heard Gemma Collins call Prince Charles, ‘Chiles’ that many times now that I’m worried that’s what I’ll be calling him from now on!’

Gem recently spoke about her show, where she compared working without a cast and crew was like being back in the Celebrity Big Brother House.

The reality star famously appeared on the Channel 5 series back in 2016 alongside Jeremy McConnell, Stephanie Davis and Tiffany Pollard.

Addressing the fact she has no team around her, she confessed: ‘Basically, it’s very strange, I’m not gonna lie, it’s bizarre.

‘In TV you normally have loads of people around you to bounce off and have a laugh with. We’d planned the whole series and were meant to be going here, there and everywhere, but we just haven’t been able to do it.

‘But as I always do, I wanted to make the best of every situation and I do believe we’ve been able to make a fantastic series.

‘Like Marilyn Monroe was sent out to entertain the troops in the war times, I realised that the country may need the GC for entertainment and that’s what I want to give with this series. 

‘I’m a reality queen and I want people to see the realness.’

Gemma went onto joke: ‘But I’m not gonna lie, putting the fixed cameras in my home was like being back on Big Brother again, but without a bunch of annoying people around me.’

Diva on Lockdown returns on Sunday at 9pm on ITVBe.
