Peter Weber's breakup from Madison Prewett lasted longer than their relationship post-The Bachelor.
Seriously! Weber just appeared on a slew of podcasts (some with his new quarantine partner, Kelley Flanagan, and some without) to discuss the ins and outs of his time on the reality series and what he's up to now. While talking with Bachelor Nation alum Nick Viall on The Viall Files, he revealed exactly what went down between him and Prewett post-After the Final Rose.
"That was tough, we left the stage together, we were supposed to do some press. We just couldn't do it, we just weren't in the right headspace," Weber told Viall, according to Cosmopolitan. "She went to her hotel to talk to her family for a bit, then she came over to my hotel…that was mainly just trying to be there for each other."
He continued, "The second day was when we pretty much spent the entire day together, that was…okay, let's figure this out. I remember going to her hotel…it was super sad. For probably six hours, we stayed on her bed there, we laughed, we cried, we hugged each other…it was rough."
From this, it seems like pretty much Peter Weber and Madison Prewett's entire relationship (aside from the actual show) was spent breaking up. Really. They didn't even see each other between Prewett's surprise visit after his breakup from Hannah Ann Sluss and the After the Final Rose live show. "After she had come and surprised me, I had gotten her number and we started talking," Weber also said on Viall's podcast. "I didn't see her again, physically, until on stage, but we were able to talk and have some good honest conversations…conversations that, yeah, we should have had while we were on the show."
He continued, "Looking back on it, I feel like we should have tried to see each other before we showed up on stage together. The reason we did that is we wanted it to be completely authentic…I don't know if that was the best choice."
