RETRO sweet fans will want to pour themselves a glass of Aldi’s new rosé wine that tastes just like classic fruit salad chews.
The discounter has just launched its 75cl bottle of Pedro Luis Monastrell Rosé in all stores for £5.99.
The Spanish pink-hued tipple boasts flavours of cherry, raspberry and pineapple.
Its fruity mixture means it's sure to stir up fond memories of the iconic fruit salad sweets, Aldi says.
The supermarket goes on to describe the drink as a dry wine, and says it pairs nicely with light meats and fish.
A bottle of Pedro Luis Monastrell has an alcohol by volume (ABV) content of 12.5 per cent, which is about average for a rosé wine, according to DrinkAware.
Per 125ml glass, it also contains 108 calories.
In the UK, the average male shouldn't consume more than 2,500 calories through food and drink a day, while it's 2,000 for women, according to NHS guidelines.
Pedro Luis Monastrell is available in all Aldi stores across the UK now.
Shoppers can also buy it online for the same price of £5.99 a bottle, or a case of six bottles for £35.94.
The case also works out at £5.99 a bottle, so there's no difference in price compared to buying a single measure.
But if you only want one bottle, you should know Aldi charges £2.95 for standard delivery on orders under £20.
Orders over this amount qualify for free delivery.
We've asked Aldi how long the rosé will be around for, and if customers can buy a crate in stores as well as online.
The supermarket does a cheaper rosé if you're looking to save some money, which is this 75cl bottle of Pinot Grigio Rosato Lazio for £4.29.
Elsewhere, Asda had the cheapest bottle of rosé of the same size among the major supermarkets with this bottle of Three Mills Classic Fruity Rosé for £2.45.
Remember to drink responsibly and be DrinkAware when enjoying a tipple.
Aldi has just relaxed limits placed on some items due to coronavirus – but essentials including bread and bleach are still being rationed.
The supermarket is also now closing its UK stores early to help restock – here are the latest Aldi opening hours.
If you're looking for ways to keep entertained during lockdown, Aldi's brought back its £39.99 BBQ pizza oven.
