Hidden is the Welsh drama series which airs on S4C in its native home of Wales, under the Welsh name Craith and on BBC One Wales and BBC Four in the UK under the name Hidden. Season two recently wrapped up on the BBC but will there another season of Hidden to come? Express.co.uk has everything you need to know.
Will there be another series of Hidden?
At the moment, there has been no official announcement from the BBC and Welsh network S4C if Hidden has been given the green light for a third series.
The second series finished airing in the UK in March 2020, so it is still early days for news fo season three to be announced.
A renewal will largely depend on the show’s ratings and the decisions of the show’s creators Mark Andrew and Ed Talfan.
Hidden (known in Welsh as Craith) follows a police detective inspector (played by Sian Reese-Williams), who returns to Wales to care for her sick father only to be drawn into a murder investigation.

Cast availability will also play a major role in the show’s renewal.
If season three is given the green light, the main cast is likely to return.
This would mean Sian Reese-Williams will be back as DI Cadi John, who in season two was trying to come to terms with the death of her father.
Reese-Williams is best known for playing Gennie Walker in Emmerdale from 2008 until 2013.
Sion Alun Davies is also likely to be back as DS Owen Vaughan, Cadi’s professional partner.
Davies credits include 35 Diwrnod, Doctors, Requiem and Britannia.
However, we might expect to see the other police characters in the show again.
These include former detective inspector Huw John (Ian Saynor), detective chief superintendent Susan Lynn (Victoria Pugh) and police constables Mari James (Lowri Izzard) and Ryan Davies (Garmon Rhys).
If Hidden is given the green light, fans can expect the new series to air in mid-2021.
Following the show’s previous release pattern, Hidden will air first in Wales under the title Craith.
Season one aired in January 2018 and season two in November 2019, so Welsh viewers could see season three landing as early as November 2020.

Hidden has aired on BBC One Wales and BBC Four several months after the Welsh air date.
For example, season one aired in the summer of 2018 and season two in February 2019. This means season three may not air until mid-way through 2021.
However, the current coronavirus pandemic has caused major delays to the production of TV shows across the world, so filming for a second season could face severe delays.
