The One Show host Matt Baker, 42, and his co-presenter Alex Jones, 42, were joined by Paddy McGuinness, 46, on the show to discuss the latest series of Top Gear. During the show, he revealed the antics himself, Freddie Flintoff and Chris Harris got up to during their 24 hours in Bolton challenge and also reflected on a not so glamorous moment in Borneo.
The Top Gear star and Freddie joined Chris as part of the line-up last year.
Tonight, Paddy told the hosts he was expecting the trio to arrive at a five-star hotel in Borneo, but were met with the complete opposite.
The car enthusiast admitted the hosts had to have a toilet in a bucket and struggled with eating the food.
He said: “We stayed in Bourno in the jungle and I said, ‘Where’s the toilet?’

“This guy gave me a bucket and pointed to the jungle, I was like, ‘Nice one’ but you get used to it.”
Matt then said to the presenter: “That’s part of the magic about the whole thing, because obviously you’re being paid a bit of money to do it.”
“[I] don’t like to talk about it Matt to be honest,” the Top Gear host jokingly intervened, prompting the audience to laugh.
“No, but what I mean is the roughness and the rawness and the fact you’re doing it, that’s where it comes from,” Matt went on to say.
Paddy replied: “It is as you see, because I honestly did go there and I thought, ‘Oh we will be in a five-star hotel,’ but it’s literally [not].
“Some of the places you go and stay, there isn’t anything there anyhow, you lie wherever they tell you and that’s it.”
Paddy then made a reference to the current panic-buy in toilet rolls due to the coronavirus as he addressed the trio’s food situation.
He went on to say: “The food did me in, they go on about the toilet roll shortage over here, they were over there when we finished, we used the entire of population approved toilet roll.”

Elsewhere, Matt told viewers he will be leaving the show after nine years last year.
In an emotional statement on the live show, he said: “I’ve loved that the One Show has been such a big part of my life for the last nine years.
“It’s been brilliant to showcase the eclectic mix of Britain, meet incredible people along the way and witness so many lives changed with the annual Rickshaw Challenge for Children in Need.
“I’d like to thank all those I’ve worked with over the years and especially you the viewer for showing me so much support during my time on the green sofa.”

He went on to reassure fans he will be continuing his work on his other shows including Countryfile.
