Professional cleaners' £2.50 hack removes limescale from kettle in minutes

No one wants limescale in their cuppa tea.

So to avoid any scum going into your mug, you need to keep your kettle clean.

This is easier than it sounds – especially when you know the best way to do it.

On Instagram, professional cleaners lifted the lid on their top tip.

And according to Twinkle Cleaning Duo , a great way to de-scale a kettle is to boil it with the right products.

Turning the kettle on once it’s filled with diluted limescale remover ensures the formula reaches all nooks and crannies.

On the Instagram page – ran by tidying gurus Natalie and Katrina – the easy method was outlined.

The influencers recommended using Astonish Premium Ultimate Limescale Remover, which you can pick up from The Range for £2.49.

To clear their kettle, 100ml of the fluid was poured into a jug.

It was then diluted with 600ml of tap water, before the mixture was tipped into the grimy kettle.

Instead of scrubbing away at the kitchen appliance, the Instagrammers let it do all the hard work for them.

They simply flicked the switch on the kettle, causing the cleaning formula to bubble away.

Once the kettle had finished boiling, the Twinkle Cleaning Duo left the appliance for 30 minutes to soak.

They then tipped the limescale-filled water away.

After this, you can then rinse out your kettle and the job is done.

The housework whizzes revealed how well the cleaning hack worked.

While the kitchen appliance had a layer of limescale on it in before pictures, it looked sparkling after the trick was complete.
