GEORGINIO WIJNALDUM has sensationally opened the door to shock move away from Liverpool after admitting "it is difficult to say" what the future holds.

The Dutch star, 29, has been a huge part of the Reds' success this season and is under contract until the summer of 2021.

Wijnaldum has scored twice in 22 games for Liverpool this season as they sit 16 points clear at the top of the table in their quest for a first-ever Premier League title.

But Wijnaldum is yet to sign an improved deal and has now cryptically hinted at a move away.

The in-demand former Newcastle ace said: "What would I like? It is difficult to say.

"It depends on what the club wants and how the situation is at that time.

"We will see. [Anfield], it's like home.

"I'm just focusing on bringing this season to a good end and that's the only thing I'm thinking of."

Wijnaldum joined Liverpool from Newcastle in a £25million deal in 2016 – and has gone on to make well over 100 Prem appearances.

The midfielder also played a vital role in last season's victorious Champions League campaign.
