Tyler Gwozdz, former contestant on Hannah Brown’s season of The Bachelorette, has passed away according to various reports. Tyler was hospitalized this past week and was in critical condition after a suspected drug overdose, but he was confirmed dead earlier today, according to TMZ. Entertainment Tonight was also able to confirm that Tyler passed away via records from Palm Beach County Medical Examiner’s Office, where his death is listed as January 22.
Boca Raton PD revealed that officers and paramedics rushed to a home on Monday, January 13, to respond to a 911 call for a possible overdose. After reaching the residence, Tyler was reportedly taken to a hospital and promptly admitted to an intensive care unit. The events leading up to Tyler’s alleged overdose are still unclear.
Tyler’s time on season 15 of The Bachelorette came to a sudden halt after just three weeks on the show and a one-on-one date with Hannah. On the show, his removal was left unexplained—all Hannah said was “Tyler G. had to leave, and that’s upsetting, because I really enjoyed my date with him.”
Later on, Hannah told Entertainment Tonight that their date was “really good” and said that she enjoyed Tyler’s “calming and nurturing” nature.
