James Martin, 47, was joined on the ITV show by former Homes Under The Hammer host Lucy Alexander, 48, and former X Factor host Kate Thornton, 46. The trio spoke candidly about their careers and family lives before Lucy claimed she would leave the show.
As the TV chef prepared a dish for the two presenters, talk turned to Lucy’s love of buying and renovating properties.
The expert revealed she was 16-years-old and had saved up £10,000 which she used to purchase her first property in London.
“Dad was the guarantor when your dad could be the guarantor in those days,” Lucy explained.
James asked: “Is that what set you up for your love of property?”

She replied: “Erm…I suppose so. As a kid, my parents would always say, ‘Oh, we’re just going to get out of the car to have a look at a house.’
“So forever and a day we were always viewing and looking at properties as children.”
The BBC favourite then jokingly threatened she would leave James’ show if he didn’t allow her to have a look around his home where he films Saturday Morning.
Lucy chimed: “Even today coming to see you, I was like, ‘If you don’t show me around your house I’m going’.”
James chuckled: “Is that right? You’ve already had a look around. I know you have.”
Former X Factor host Kate, said: “We’ve literally been in every toilet.”
The TV chef chimed: “I’ve spotted them on CCTV wondering around, anyway.”
The former Homes Under The Hammer star later joked she also attempted to “steal a vase” from the TV chef’s home after having a look around.

Lucy cheekily joked: “We tried to steal something but he caught us.”

Meanwhile, the property expert took to Twitter yesterday and shared a series of posts following her time on Saturday Morning.
The BBC star admitted she would not be “giving up my day job” after the presenter struggled with cooking in the Saturday Morning Kitchen.
