NETFLIX'S Sex Education cast tease "love triangles and new relationships" ahead of the rauchy second season's release.

The popular show follows Otis Milburn (Asa Buterfield), a virgin teenager who becomes a sex adviser to his classmates with the help of friends Eric Effiong (Ncuti Gatwa) and Maeve Wiley (Emma Mackey).

But things aren't going to be easy for the Sixth Form students as the addition of new characters creates complications.

"There are some new people coming in and there's new relationships," Ncuti told Digital Spy.

"There's a couple of love triangles. There's new ladies, there's new gentleman."

Asa added: "But as well as that, we see a closer look at everyone's lives individually and that goes for all the characters and we kind of see a bit more of what makes them tick, which is nice."

The second season saw Otis discover his newly discovered sexual urges after believing himself to have none.

He needs to quickly get to grips with it so he can continue his relationship with girlfriend Ola (Particia Allison).

Meanwhile, his friendship with Maeve has gotten strained – and of course his sex therapist mum Gillian Anderson continues to embarrass.

At Moordale Secondary school, there's an outbreak of Chlamydia.

While bully Adam (Connor Swindells) adjusts to life at military school as he comes to terms with his feelings for Eric.

The new season will return to Netflix on January 17, 2020.
