Sports pundit Jamie Redknapp, 48, is currently soaking up the sun in Miami with his two sons Charley, 15, and Beau, 11, who he shares with ex wife Louise Redknapp, 45.

The former footballer has been documenting his trip on social media, sharing pictures from his New Year break with his 1.1 million followers on Instagram.

He was photographed on a bike ride along the sea front with his youngest son this week and also posted footage from the ride.

A shirtless Jamie looked a little glum as he cycled along the pavement in a pair of blue shorts and sandals during his winter getaway.

He protected his eyes from the sunshine with a pair of dark glasses during the sun-soaked outing.

The video he later shared online showed his youngest son heading down to the beach on his bike with a cloudless blue sky in the background.

The youngster was sporting a Roberto Firmino football shirt in the short clip.

Yesterday, Jamie’s ex wife took to social media with a heartfelt post to mark the first day of the new year.

The singer, who celebrated New Year’s Eve with pals, opened up about her “toughest year” on her Instagram account, in view of her 666,000 followers.

Louise began: “I don’t often open up on social media, but tonight seems like a good time to.”

The Hurt singer continued: “creativley this year has been my best yet writing and recording my new album Heavy Love and performing in the west end, but emotionally it has been my toughest year and I’ve faced challenges I never thought I would.”

Speaking from the heart and thanking her friends and family for their support, she added: “Heartbreak is a killer so I want to thank my boys, my family, my friends and all of you who have been kind over the last 12 months.”

Looking to the future, the songstress signed off: “So Let’s take on 2020 like we mean it!”
