EastEnders viewers were left very confused over a bizarre phone blunder during tonight's explosive flashback episode.

Tonight, viewers watched what really happened to Keanu Taylor on Christmas Day after being kidnapped by Martin Fowler.

In the end, Martin was unable to shoot Keanu and when Linda stumbled in, the pair helped fake his death.

This included Linda shooting Keanu in the shoulder and Martin later filming himself on his phone pretending to shoot Keanu again.

When Keanu left, Martin kept all of his belongings and told him to walk to the nearest hospital. However Martin decided to give him his phone as Keanu wasn't able to keep his own.

Yet viewers were baffled when Martin's phone reappeared in his hand when he showed Ben the video.

One tweeted: "Who's phone did Martin video Keanu on? Because he gave his phone to Keanu? #Eastenders."

While another commented: "How could Martin show Ben the footage if he gave his phone to Keanu? #EastEnders."

A third remarked: "Funny how Martin gave Keane his phone then managed to show Ben a video #EastEnders."

One questioned: "How is Martin on the phone to Ben, if he gave Keanu his phone? #EastEnders."
