Lauren Goodger has hit back on Instagram after trolls claimed that her Boxing Day mystery illness, that caused her to be hospitalised, was just a hangover.

The former TOWIE star was initially admitted to hospital after she shared a post about suffering from an extreme hangover, writing: “Never drink again… worst hangover to date I feel like I’m dying.”

However, later on she shared an image of herself in the back of an ambulance where the paramedics were looking after her.

The 33 year old captioned it: “Under a lot of stress lately had paramedics at mine now on way to hospital.. really not good way lately.. I need a break.” [sic]

She also then shared a video of her knees under a hospital blanket alongside the caption: “can’t stop shaking”, and then snaps of herself lying in a hospital bed.

Despite her stay overnight in hospital many online seemed to still think she was merely suffering from a hangover so Lauren hit back in an impassioned post last night. She wrote: “Just want to say thank you for the love and the DMs… I've took a few days out and when I'm ready to talk I'll explain all…

“For those who was saying I've gone to hospital for a hangover you need [to] seriously shut up and think before you type… Because I've had many hangovers and also panic attacks before…

“If it wasn't serious the paramedics wouldn't of took me from home to hospital and it's not often I ask for help… But anyway I do see the love and support and all I can say is I will turn this all into something to make you proud.”

She then shared another post that said: “Weird really cos you all care about mental health until your friend makes up excuses not to the leave the house or not go places of just drops off the radar, you're all the first to s**g them off and make them feel s**t instead of asking if they are okay. Just weird to me”.
