Kerry Katona has weighed in on the news that Katie Price has had her reality show renewed, saying “people love watching drama!”

Speaking in her new magazine column this week, the mum of five branded Katie’s life “all over the place” but conceded “she’s great entertainment!”

Kerry, 39, said, “Obviously I adore Katie Price but I have a theory as to why her reality show has been renewed. People love watching drama! And the fact is there’s so much drama around her – it’s like watching a soap opera… people are intrigued!”

Kerry, who has starred in several of her own reality shows, said she will support Katie and tune in to the programme, even though the former glamour model is having a hard time right now.

“I love Kate and I’ll always be there for her, so I’ll be tuning in, but her life’s all over the place at the minute,” she said.

“That said, I know the public are rooting for her to turn it around and there’s no question she’s great entertainment, so good luck to her!”

Katie revealed last week that was coming back for a new series, although Quest Red, the station behind the show, have declined to confirm the news. But if it is true, it couldn’t come at a better time for her.

Katie, 41, was recently declared bankrupt, was rumoured to have split from on-off lover Kris Boyson and was at risk of losing her infamous ‘mucky mansion,’ though insiders have told new she’s been offered a lifeline, with the TV production company paying for renovations to ensure she can keep filming there in 2020.

Either way, poor old Kez is still waiting on another show of her own! The former Atomic Kitten has made no secret of her desire to get back on the box, often using her weekly column to campaign for another go on the reality merry go round.

Earlier this year she joked, “Everyone on the planet seems to have a reality show these days and I’m jealous!”

“What could be better than a behind-the-scenes look at the life of a middle-aged woman who’s scared of growing old, has addiction problems, has suffered psychotic breakdowns and has five kids by three men? It would be a smash hit! hat have I got to do to get another show? Pop another kid out?”
