GLOBAL Citizen propelled himself into the reckoning for the Arkle with a blistering display at Kempton.

But stable star Global Citizen, who was a well-held fourth on chasing debut at Carlisle, was spring-heeled under a ballsy David Bass.
Rouge Vif, Grand Sancy and Al Dancer all lined up to have a crack in the home straight but he galloped on relentlessly, with the bookies going as short as 14-1 for the Arkle in March.
The well-punted favourite Fanion D'Estruval was bitterly disappointing and trailed home in fifth place.
