A MUM was left stunned after she heard an In The Night Garden character shout "shut the f*** up" TWICE in front of her daughter.
The 10-month-old tot was watching the CBeebies kid's show when mum Karyn Willcocks spotted one of the characters shouting the rude phrase.
Posting the outrageous video on Facebook, mum Karyn was concerned that the kid's show seemed to be using rude language on the programme designed for a young audience.
In the clip, her 10-month-old daughter can be seen fixated on the bright and bubbly cartoon characters – unaware of the language being used.
In The Night Garden, which is a programme aimed to calm and relax toddlers before a good night's sleep, has been broadcasted almost every evening on the BBC channel for the past 11 years.
Using a mix of colourful characters and inaudible baby-babble – the show is made to be relatable to toddlers still grasping the basics of language.
Yet in the clip, one of the characters can be heard saying what sounds like "shut the f*** up."
The concerned mum posted the video on Facebook, with the caption: "My 10 month old absolutely love in the night garden but I’m concerned about the language that’s been used ‘shut the f#@k up!"
This allegation isn't the first concerning bad language being used in children's shows.
A seemingly innocent clip from Sesame Street sparked debate last year over one of the muppets allegedly dropping the "f-bomb."
Posted on Reddit, the footage showed cuddly character Grover appearing to say the "Yes, yes, that's a f***ing excellent idea".
The Sun Online has contacted BBC for a comment.
