The ‘I Luv This S**t’ hitmaker becomes the butt of the joke of Internet users after he shares on his Instagram account two photos of him rocking red curls.
AceShowbiz –August Alsina isn’t waiting until the new year to get a new look. The 27-year-old star just took to Instagram on Wednesday, December 11 to debut his new hair by posting a couple of brand new photos. In the images, the rapper sports red curls that are apparently longer than his previous hair.
The “I Luv This S**t” hitmaker greeted his followers and fans in the caption, writing, “Greetings from the D.I.L.F GANG sending you good vibessss, peace & tranquility.” He also promoted his new song “Today”, which he shares the link to on his Instagram profile.
Upon seeing those pictures, people can’t help commenting on August’s new look and it’s suffice to say that many are not impressed with his hair. They took to the comment section of the reposted picture of the rapper, with rapper/singer/songwriter Booby Lytes simply saying, “No!”
Actress/author Tia Becca shared her concern, “That yaki twist hair be having everybody looking crazy after the 2nd day.” Some people compared his look to an auntie’s, while one other called him “Annie” for his hair.
“Imma need him to drop that hair regimen tho curls poppin,” one jokingly suggested. A shocked fan reacted, “What in the holiday hart,” while some others laughed at it. “Lmaoooo,” one of them commented.
Others, however, are still rooting for August no matter how he looks like now. “One human can suh handsome bredddaaaa????” one raved of the star. Another praised him, “Fineeee asfff.” Some others were simply happy that he looks good. “Look at yoooou! Looking all healthy,” one wrote, while another similarly said, “Glad your feeling better Auggy.”
August sparked concerns last summer after he bailed out of his scheduled set at the 2019 Essence Festival in New Orleans, Louisiana in July due to some serious health issues. He was hospitalized after experiencing nerve damage in his legs.
He informed his fans at the time, “So here’s the sitch (situation): I woke up one day and wasn’t able to walk. Couldn’t feel my legs. My doctor ended up admitting me to the hospital to do a bunch of tests and he said that I have some nerve damage going on throughout my whole body that I have to undergo a recovery process for.”
The New Orleans-born rapper has now been back to work. He is set to release his upcoming documentary “The Rise of August Alsina”, which chronicles his tumultuous journey, in addition to dropping the new single.
