By order of the Leafy Blinders! Aldi will release Russel the Sprout toys inspired by their Christmas advert THIS weekend – and their hit Kevin the Carrot merchandise is back too

Following the release of their Christmas advert for 2019, Aldi has confirmed they will be selling Russel the Sprout toys as part of their festive collection.
The discount supermarket say the new Kevin the Carrot festive range, which will hit stories on November 24, will include the soft toy which was introduced as Kevin the Carrot’s new nemesis in this year’s festive advert.
The toys, which will set you back £3.99, are referred to as the ‘Leafy Blinders’ and were inspired by the BBC One show Peaky Blinders, based in Birmingham.
Last year, Britain went crazy over Kevin the carrot merchandise, and within hours of the range appearing online it was already being sold on eBay for as much as £950.

Now, soft toys of both Kevin, his Carrot family and Russell will go on sale this weekend.
Despite the sprouts sporting a grumpy demeanor and the iconic Peaky Blinder caps in the advert, the toy versions are much more cuddly.
Fans have been impatiently waiting to get their hands on the toys, after rumours of its release started circulating online a few weeks ago.
‘Oh I need one of these,’ one wrote, while another added: ‘Get on the hunt!’.

When news started circulating that Aldi would be releasing the sprouts, fans got excited online
‘Peaky blinders sprout. We have to get one when they come out,’ said another.
‘I missed out on the carrot and the parsnip I’m not missing out on an angry sprout,’ one fan vowed, referencing the Aldi ads of Christmas past.
The festive Kevin the Carrot collection is the store’s biggest ever and includes pajamas for the whole family. It also boast an inflatable snow globe priced at £49.99.
The line also includes a plush toy of Tiny Tom, which makes an appearance on this year’s advert as well

Fans of Kevin will be able to get a giant plush toy of the Carrot as well as one of his wife Katie of £19.99. Meanwhile a giant unicorn is also available at the same price.
The Christmas line also includes stationary, with tree decorations from £1.99, as well as mugs, Christmas crackers and cards.
Last year, the items sparked a craze, selling out within minutes of their release.
Customers were even seen fighting over the toys, while those who managed to get their hands on one resold them for up to £1,000.
The Leafy Blinders were introduced as Kevin the Carrot’s enemies in the new Christmas advert from Aldi.
This month the nation’s favourite festive hero returned in a 70-second clip for the discount store’s campaign, following the release of a teaser trailer last week.
The advert sees Kevin flee from the clutches of new characters the ‘Leafy Blinders’ – and put on an extraordinary Greatest Showman inspired Christmas show set to a festive edition of Robbie Williams hit Let Me Entertain You.
The film begins with Russell Sprout and his Brummy mob, angry about the news of Kevin’s forthcoming Christmas extravaganza.
The group of sprouts – wearing tweed caps much like the characters in TV series Peaky Blinders – are seen shouting at Kevin in the street, as he struggles to escape – while tied to a cheese grater.
The line also includes giant Kevin and Katie plush toys, as well as a giant unicorn, all priced as £19.99
And this year, the line includes Kevin the Carrot themed pajamas for the whole family, at £9.99
