A Curry Mile hair salon has been taped off by police following reports of a stabbing.
Officers were called to Wilmslow Road in Rusholme earlier this evening.
Photos posted on social media show a large police presence outside Sharp Scissors.
Police were told someone had been knifed.

The road was temporarily shut for a few hours while they gathered evidence from the scene
The street was temporarily shut southbound at Great Western Street due to a ‘police incident’, Transport for Greater Manchester posted on Twitter.
It is not clear at this stage exactly what has happened.
Details of injuries have not been released.
Video footage also shows a number of ambulance vehicles at the scene.
Greater Manchester Police have been approached for comment.
The road was reopened after several hours.
