EVERTON have given an update on Andre Gomes after his horror injury in the clash against Spurs.
POCHETTINO has revealed that Everton skipper Seamus Coleman and a number of other players consoled Son Heung-min in the dressing room.
The Spurs forward was reduced to tears after his tackle on Andre Gomes left the midfielder with a suspected broken leg.
The former Southampton gaffer said: “He was devastated but now he’s better. I think the players from Everton came to console him.
“In the moment was a little bit confusing, because no-one knows on the pitch what happened. Everyone believed that it was a bad tackle and there was emotion.
“But after when everyone watched on TV and saw the [injury] was very, very, very bad luck. We all feel sorry for Andre. We want to send our best wishes to him and the family in this tough moment.”
SPURS star Son Heung-min has been targeted with abuse by trolls on Instagram after his challenge on Andre Gomes left the Everton star with a broken ankle.
One branded the distraught Tottenham midfielder a “butcher” and a “killer” while another warned him that karma would strike.
In between a flurry of comments wishing Son well and telling him it was not his fault, one user wrote: “You have destroyed Andre's career. You do not deserve to play football anymore butcher, killer.
“See what you did with him. That's revenge, not a tackle.”
Another said: “Shame on you! You'll be banned forever. Stop crying like a little girl and acting like you care.”
EX-SPURS star Gareth Bale could be on his way to Manchester City.
Real Madrid are ready to launch a stunning raid on the Blues by offering £70m and Bale for Raheem Sterling.
Los Blancos have identified the England sensation as their next potential big-name signing and are ready to try and unsettle the in-form winger.
