  • EVERTON have given an update on Andre Gomes after his horror injury in the clash against Spurs.

  • POCHETTINO has revealed that Everton skipper Seamus Coleman and a number of other players consoled Son Heung-min in the dressing room.

    The Spurs forward was reduced to tears after his tackle on Andre Gomes left the midfielder with a suspected broken leg.

    The former Southampton gaffer said: “He was devastated but now he’s better. I think the players from Everton came to console him.

    “In the moment was a little bit confusing, because no-one knows on the pitch what happened. Everyone believed that it was a bad tackle and there was emotion.

    “But after when everyone watched on TV and saw the [injury] was very, very, very bad luck. We all feel sorry for Andre. We want to send our best wishes to him and the family in this tough moment.”

  • SPURS star Son Heung-min has been targeted with abuse by trolls on Instagram after his challenge on Andre Gomes left the Everton star with a broken ankle.

    One branded the distraught Tottenham midfielder a “butcher” and a “killer” while another warned him that karma would strike.

    In between a flurry of comments wishing Son well and telling him it was not his fault, one user wrote: “You have destroyed Andre's career. You do not deserve to play football anymore butcher, killer.

    “See what you did with him. That's revenge, not a tackle.”

    Another said: “Shame on you! You'll be banned forever. Stop crying like a little girl and acting like you care.”
