As Moira Barton (played by Natalie J Robb) and Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) have continued their secret affair behind Cain’s (Jeff Hordley) back, it looks like the walls are closing in, after Pete Barton (Anthony Quinlan) discovered the truth about what the pair had been up to.
Now, it seems they don’t have long left, as things are set to reach a climax in the next couple of months.
Speaking to Express.co.uk at The Inside Soap Awards, actress Sally Dexter, who plays Cain’s mum in the soap, quickly drew attention to the: “Very explosive situation with my son, my daughter in law, and the farmhand – the mystery man!”
It looks as though she will be heavily involved as Moira and Nate’s affair finally comes to light.
She confessed that: “Faith would fight tirelessly for Cain, she would absolutely, yeah, she would, she’d fight anything for him.”

Sally continued: “To find out that anybody would have cheated on him, is something that she can’t quite comprehend, because she knows that Cain and Moira have been so right for each other.”
She revealed how her character would also find it difficult to learn of her daughter in law’s infidelity, saying that: “She’s desperately upset about it, she loves Moira too as a daughter!”
As things are set to hot up very soon, Sally admitted that the situation with her son will be so devastating that she may end up having to leave the Dales.
“I may have to skip away from Emmerdale for a little while, because what happens between me and Cain is so devastating.”
Sally, who is playing London’s first female Scrooge this Christmas, also said that while coinciding with her role, she’ll take some time away from the soap.
“I don’t know if she can stay at the moment,” she revealed.
On whether Faith would find the truth difficult to cope with, Sally admitted: “Very, it was actually some of the most emotional scenes I think we’ve shot.”

Sally also stated that her experience of playing a Dingle was: “Like a little bit of royalty, it’s fantastic!”
As Pete Barton is set to leave the soap in upcoming months, will Cain and Faith get revenge after they discover that he knew about Moira and Nate’s affair?
In scenes set to air next week, it seems as though Faith might start to have her suspicions about her daughter-in-law.

As Nate has already threatened Pete this week over revealing the truth, Faith may be the next to watch out for as she may rumble their affair.
Next week, as Faith plans a romantic lunch for Cain and Moira, things unfortunately don’t go to plan, leading Moira to unsurprisingly go off with Nate instead.
As her son is left frustrated by Moira’s sudden disappearance, she thinks Pete may be to blame.
When she notices him having a sneaky conversation with Moira, will she learn the truth about the affair?
