LOVE Island's Amber Gill has slammed mean-spirited comments from fans of the show who have claimed she hasn't been as successful as her fellow islanders.

Despite winning the series, one twitter user pointed out that the Newcastle lass has yet to announce a lucrative fashion deal like Maura Higgins, Molly-Mae Hague and Ovie Soko.

@raashidaaaa wrote: "Maura joining boohoo, Ovie joining ASOS and Molly Mae having her own collection with PLT. What is Amber doing please?"

But Amber, 22, didn't take the comparison lying down and hit back on twitter, claiming she has lots of work in the pipeline.

Replying to the tweet, Amber said: "Sis please don’t tell me you think I’m out here doing nothing? I always do the most Be patient!"

Clearly irked by the inference that she has failed in relation to her co-stars, Amber went on to retweet a fan's comment defending her.

She retweeted a message that read: "People loved Amber on #LoveIsland because she spoke her mind, stood up for herself, didn’t play by anybody’s rules & was always her own person. Now that she’s out of the villa those same fans are harassing her cause she isn’t following the playbook of all the other Islanders???"

Since the series wrapped, Molly-Mae has signed a lucrative £500,000 deal with Pretty Little Thing, Maura is the new face of Boohoo and Ann Summers, while Ovie has inked a reported six-figure deal with ASOS.

On top of that, India Reynolds also has a deal with Boohoo while Lucie Donlan has a £200,000 contract with haircare line Peng hair.

Meanwhile Amber has had a lower profile since she and Greg became the surprise winners of the show.

Unlike last year's winners Dani Dyer and Jack Fincham, they haven't landed an ITV spin-off show.

And while Amber did appear as a Loose Women panellist and was tipped to star in the upcoming series of Dancing On Ice, she has since been replaced on the skating competition by fellow Love Island star Maura.

The Sun exclusively revealed yesterday  that the series champ had been ditched in favour of the Irish girl, who has already fronted several segments on ITV's This Morning.

Producers met several contestants from the ITV2 show before picking the Irish beauty.

The move comes after she impressed audiences on This Morning with her quirky personality during her regular agony aunt segment.

The decision by Dancing On Ice chiefs to sign Maura is a blow to Amber who had hoped the show would be her next big TV project after two other Love Island stars found success on the show.

Kem Cetinay was fourth in 2018 and Wes Nelson was this year’s runner-up.

As well as this disappointment, Amber has also faced rampant speculation that her romance with fellow winner Greg O'Shea is on the outs.

Yesterday, we reported that fans were speculating the pair have secretly ended their short-lived romance.

And while a source told us that the pair were working on their relationship after being forced to spend a lot of time apart due to living in separate countries, Amber took to her instagram last night to clear up the rumours.

Proving she and Greg are still very much an item, she shared an screenshot of the pair facetiming each other on her instagram stories.

She captioned the grab: "Not long now!" to reassure her fans that she and Greg will be meeting up imminently.
