- The lingerie brand was accused by fashion-focused Instagram account Diet Prada Monday of copying one Agent Provocateur design
- Victoria’s Secret’s bra and panty set appeared in its new fall collection
- But it looked nearly identical to the Agent Provocateur design from last year
- Diet Prada accused the brand of copying Fleur du Mal designs in July also for Victoria’s Secret’s fall collection
- Last night, Victoria’s Secret also caught heat when model Kate Upton attacked the brand for not being size inclusive on its runway

Victoria’s Secret has been accused of stealing designs, again, from a high-end lingerie brand — with the victim this time being UK-based company Agent Provocateur.
The allegations were first made by Diet Prada, the Instagram account run by fashion insiders who often shame brands and celebrities for plagiarizing designs, on Monday over pieces in Victoria’s Secret’s fall collection.
In the post, the account showed a side-by-side comparison of a black mesh bra and panty set, which looked completely identical to a set released by Agent Provocateur last year.

‘How many more coffin nails do we need before we can call @victoriassecret dead? The knockoffs almost seem petty when you hold them up against the Epstein/Wexner ties, but we still couldn’t spot any differences from the sets released in Summer 2018,’ Diet Prada wrote about the recent accusations against the lingerie brand.
The post continued: ‘Here’s a theory — the teams are too busy watching the news to design so they just keep ordering other designer lingerie to knock off instead lol.’
Victoria’s Secret’s lingerie set identically matches the Agent Provocateur set, making it hard to differ which one is which for consumers.
And the set is not the only design from the new collection that has been accused of mimicking other companies’ pieces.
Diet Prada cited the brand in July for also copying Fleur du Mal’s lingerie.
An associate buyer with Victoria’s Secret allegedly purchased $12,656-worth of Fleur du Mal’s lingerie to then copy for the new collection, according to receipts obtained by Diet Prada.
‘Half of the order was for Fleur du Mal’s embroidered and appliquéd Lily bras and panties, dupes of which unsurprisingly showed up for sale on VS website and Instagram two days ago (at half the price),’ the post explained.
It included side-by-side comparisons of two designs by both Fleur du Mal and Victoria’s Secret — and neither comparison shot showed much difference between the original design and Victoria’s Secret’s new collection.
The potential ripped-off designs from Victoria’s Secret becomes more complicated, though, as the founder of Fleur du Mal, Jennifer Zuccarini, previously worked as a design director at the lingerie brand from 2008 to 2011.
Upon leaving Victoria’s Secret, Zuccarini went on to create Fleur du Mal the following year as a high-end lingerie option for women.
The brand has grown extensively since 2012 to also include ready-to-wear clothing items.
In 2017, Fleur du Mal was called ‘Hollywood’s go-to lingerie line’ by the Observer after gaining a plethora of A-list clientele that included the Kardashian family, Ashley Graham, Lady Gaga and Sienna Miller.
To make matters worse for Victoria’s Secret, the brand also made headlines after supermodel Kate Upton shamed the company when appearing on What Happens Live with Andy Cohen on Sunday.
She was asked during the interview what her thoughts were on the rumors that Victoria’s Secret would not be hosting its annual fashion show this year.
‘We’re sick of seeing the same body type,’ Kate said. ‘You have to be body-inclusive now. Every woman needs to be represented, otherwise it’s a snoozefest.’

Victoria’s Secret recently experienced plunging sales and lackluster ratings from its most recent fashion show. This potentially led the brand to decide to hold off on throwing another fashion show for 2019.
Chief Marketing Officer Ed Razek also announced he would retire from Victoria’s Secret and L Brands, the parent company of the lingerie brand.
This comes months after he made controversial comments to Vogue about including transgender and plus-size models.
‘Shouldn’t you have transsexuals in the show? No. No, I don’t think we should,’ he said at the time. ‘Well, why not? Because the show is a fantasy. It’s a 42-minute entertainment special. That’s what it is.’
During the interview, Razek also claimed the brand attempted to have a separate special featuring plus-size models, but it didn’t hit the ratings the company wanted.
‘No one had any interest in it, still don’t,’ he said.
Razek later apologized for his comments after it sparked immense backlash from consumers.
