Up until now, Argentina actress Fatima Florez was mainly known for her cheeky celebrity impersonations and hosting family game shows.
But following her partner Javier Milei’s landslide election victory, the 42-year-old star is set to be known the world over as Argentina’s new First Lady.
The couple first started dating in July this year after meeting on a chat show last December while Fatima was still married to her husband of 22 years.
Over the weekend, the actress – who boasts 1.1m followers on Instagram – publicly showed her support for her other half when she posted a photo of herself voting.
In turn, Javier then shared the image of his glamorous girlfriend with his 3.9m followers and wrote: ‘My LOVE Fatima Florez already voted…!!! LONG LIVE F***ING FREEDOM.’

Despite their huge social media followings, the pair received a mixed reception when they attended a performance of Madame Butterfly at the Colón Theatre in Buenos Aires.
Referencing the politician’s stance on Argentina’s former military rule, guests reportedly chanted: ‘Miliei, trash, you are the dictatorship!’
As Argentina prepares for a new political era, FEMAIL takes a closer look at the woman who will be supporting Javier – who refers to himself as ‘the lion’ – from the sidelines.
But will his self-described ‘lioness’ be able to tame the new playboy president who shot to fame for boasting about his sexual stamina and love of threesomes?
Early life and career
Fatima Florez – whose real name is Maria Eugenia Florez – was born in February 1981 and grew up in Olivos, a middle-class neighbourhood on the outskirts of Buenos Aires.
The actress’ father Oscar is believed to have worked as an architect while her mother Marta is said to have been a geography teacher. The couple shared three daughters and split when Fatima was nine years old.
Speaking to Clarin in 2014, Fatima said she could see the presidential villa – where her boyfriend will be based – from her home as a child and noticed helicopters always coming and going.
In a 2019 interview with Infobae, Fatima revealed how she first discovered her talent for impersonations when she was in primary school.

Although she was scared of her Year Six teacher, the aspiring actress delighted in mimicking her mannerisms for friends.
Fatima explained: ‘My classmates and I were terribly afraid of her, because she was very demanding.
‘What I did was transfer that feeling to humour: I copied her gestures and her way of speaking. At home they were dying of laughter, because it came out the same way.’
As a teenager, the actress struggled with her self-image and developed anorexia in the wake of her parents’ divorce.
In an interview with Pampita Ardohain in 2018, Fatima – who dropped to just 40 kilos as a teen – said: ‘I hid it, especially with my parents, when they asked me if I had eaten and I lied to them, I told them yes and I had not eaten anything or I had just eaten an apple.
‘That’s why I always tell parents to check if their children are eating and what they are going to do in the bathroom. I didn’t vomit, I had anorexia.’
However, the star said she built up her self-esteem after rediscovering her faith. When she was 17 years old, Fatima became a dancer and appeared in productions by musician Pepito Cibriáns.
First marriage and shooting to fame
Three years later, Fatima joined the band Las Primas and relocated to Peru for work – where she met her ex-husband Norberto Marcos, who is almost 20 years her senior.

The couple crossed paths when the band appeared on the hit comedy series La Paisana Jacinta.
After discovering Fatima’s talent for impersonation, Norberto became the singer’s agent – convincing her to adopt a stage name. The pair married in 2001.
Speaking to Telefe earlier this year, Norberto opened up about the early days of their romance.
He explained: ‘I was the only one who believed in her. Not even she believed in her and we didn’t have a cent.’
In 2012, Fatima co-hosted the Argentinian family game show Plan TV and appeared in the sketch show Journalism for Everyone.
Fatima shot to fame in Argentina for her impression of the then vice-president Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner.

Speaking to local publication Infobae in 2019, Fatima joked: ‘When I get angry, my mother tells me that I look more like Cristina’s daughter than hers.’
Meanwhile, Fatima was also quoted as telling her husband to ‘go to hell’ in the style of the former president.
The couple married in 2001 and were together for 22 years. Although the pair publicly said they remain on good terms, there are rumours circling in the Argentinian press of arguments in dressing rooms and alleged infidelity.
Javier Milei romance
In December 2022, Fatima met her now-boyfriend Javier Milei when they both appeared on Mirtha Legrand’s hugely popular talk show – two months before she officially separated from her husband.

In October, the pair returned to Mirta’s show to confirm that they were dating.
Fatima explained: ‘We started talking on Instagram and we started seeing each other much later.
‘It came very naturally. It was very little by little. I was in Uruguay, working, and we started writing to each other.’
Elsewhere in the interview, Argentina’s new president said: ‘I am very in love’. The pair described their love as ‘exotic’.
Fatima then went on to explain how she officially separated from her husband on her birthday in February – likening it to the historic Battle of San Lorenzo in 1813.
Following the interview, Fatima went on to impersonate her new boyfriend in one of her shows.
Sharing a photo of herself backstage, Fatima – who was wearing a shaggy brown wig and bright blue contacts – wrote: ‘I AM YOUR LIONESS.’

He captioned the footage: ‘SHE is the most beautiful flower! I LOVE YOU… LONG LIVE F***ING FREEDOM.’
A political unknown until a few years ago, Milei was elected to Argentina’s parliament in 2021 as a member of La Libertad Avanza (‘Freedom Advances’).
Five years ago, he suddenly tried his luck on Argentina’s beloved daytime TV chat shows – and producers quickly realized viewers couldn’t get enough of his demented claims about his sexual stamina and his brazen political opinions. He’s also talked openly about having threesomes.
He prefers to call himself an anarcho-capitalist, which means he’d like to rip up as much government intervention as he can and leave it all to the free market.
Javier proudly says he used to be an instructor of tantric sex – a slow, meditative form of intercourse based on Eastern philosophies where the end goal is not orgasm but enjoyment of the process.
