Shetland: Howell attempts to escape Calder and Tosh
Shetland fans all issued the same complaint as the BBC drama made a return on Wednesday night.
The second episode saw DI Ruth Calder (played by Ashley Jensen) and Tosh (Alison McIntosh) discovering two dead bodies, one being a witness they were hoping to trace.
The culprits of the murders went on the run as they continued to try and find the money that was stolen from them.
However, it wasn’t long before the detectives caught up with the gangsters, which is when a police car chase took place.
Tosh raced across the island in a bid to apprehend the suspects, although, little did she know that one had been shot.

Many fans took to X, formerly known as Twitter to share their thoughts on the car chase, with many pointing out a blunder within the dramatic scene.
Others claimed to switch off the programme as they said the show was “boring” without Douglas Henshall at the helm.
@straaheid pointed out: “Magic car on #Shetland. No steering wheel movement, even going round bends.”
@IT7753 went on: “#Shetland it’s like watching the Keystone cops, simply ridiculous in some of the scenes, pursuit car driven by Tosh takes wrong turn and suddenly the suspect car is out of sight 10 seconds later.” (sic)

“That was one of the most awful car chase ever #Shetland,” another fan stated.
@Robynsmith58 fumed: “So boring without Dougie Henshall, really cheapened it. I’m gone.” (sic)
@Isla_Skinner echoed: “I’m afraid it’s not really doing it for me like it used to #shetland.”
However, @tmoraitauthor went on to disagree: “Wasn’t sure about #Shetland without the fab Douglas Henshall as Jimmy Perez, but the new series is really good with Ashley Jensen.” (sic)
Shetland returns next Wednesday at 9pm on BBC One.
