TWO people have been killed after a tree fell on their car as they drove through Gloucestershire.

Emergency crews were scrambled to B4077 at Stanway Hill at 10.15pm yesterday.

Sadly the victims, who ages have not been released, could not be saved.

Their next of kin have been informed.

Drivers have now been asked to find an alternative route with a police cordon currently in place.

Anyone who witnessed the incident but not spoken to officers should call 101 and quote incident 405 of 21 November.
