AN INSULATION fitter told brain-dead Insulate Britain activists causing traffic chaos: “Get out of the way, I’m trying."

Self-employed Tom Watson was furious as they were stopping him from making homes more eco-friendly.

But as the 37-year-old left his van to make his point, he was hauled back by cops while the demo to block the M25 was allowed to go on.

Tom, a semi-pro martial arts fighter, said: ‘I just wanted to tell them, “Don’t stop me getting to work and doing my job.’

“They’re called Insulate Britain. Well, insulating homes is what I do. How does stopping me doing that job help the environment?

“I’m saving the country huge amounts of CO2 every year, never mind all the other builders like me.

“It’s cost me hundreds and it’s the same for other tradesmen

“We all want to do the right thing by the environment but stopping workers fitting insulation ain’t it.

“And taking money out of the pockets of the builders actually doing what they want is madness.”

The dad of one, of Chorleywood, Herts, had left a job to collect materials from Watford when he was caught in the latest blockade by Insulate Britain activists.

He estimates the three hours of lost work has cost him £500.

The WKO European Muay Thai title-holder insisted he had no intention of “getting physical” with the Extinction Rebellion off-shoot – he just wanted to reason with them.

He added: “As soon as I tried to get anywhere near them, the cops started pushing me, I was doing nothing wrong.”

A video of another driver taking on the demonstrators went viral after it was revealed a woman suffering a stroke was left paralysed after being delayed on the M25.

The man approached the activists at Junction 18 at Rickmansworth, near Watford, and said: “You’re stopping someone from getting to a hospital.

"Why the hell do you think this is the right thing to do?”

The M25 was also targeted at the Dartford Bridge and the A1M and 41 people were arrested.

Boris Johnson said: “I don’t think these people do any favours to their cause.

"What they do is detract from a very important moral mission that is widely shared by the people.”
