SHAMED DJ Tim Westwood was interviewed under caution by police last week over a series of sex offences spanning 34 years.

The former BBC and Capital FM presenter, 65, is accused of abusing his position in the music industry by several women.

Westwood has vehemently denied any wrongdoing.

He was first questioned by cops on March 15 and then again on April 4.

All five of the allegations are said to have happened in London between 1982 and 2016.

A Met Police spokesperson said: "Police are investigating five reports relating to allegations of non-recent sexual offences allegedly committed by a man.

They told of the alleged abuse between 1992 and 2017 to the BBC and the Guardian.

Westwood, who left the BBC in 2013, stepped down from his show on Capital Xtra following the claims.

Two months later, a woman named as Esther claimed Westwood – then in his 30s – had sex with her several times from when she was 14.

Her allegations featured in BBC News documentary Hip Hop's Open Secret: Tim Westwood.

The show also included testimony from two other women, who were under 18 when they were allegedly targeted by the "predator" DJ.

One, named Lydia, said she attempted to take her own life after becoming trapped in a controlling relationship.

Allegations from another 10 women were reported later.

In August, the BBC published a report confirming bosses should have further explored issues raised about the DJ during his 20-year career with the broadcaster.

It said it had received six complaints against Westwood, including one that was referred to the police.

It is not know if the women in the documentary have reported their allegations to cops.

Westwood is the son of former Anglican Bishop of Peterborough Bill Westwood.

He rose to fame hosting the first nationally-broadcast rap show on UK radio from 1994.
