England football star Raheem Sterling snapped up an entire road of houses for £1million after his fiancée decided to become a property developer.

The £300k-a-week Manchester City ace has bought six new two-bedroom houses in a rundown part of Stockport, Greater Manchester, and is now renting them out for £750 per month each.

Neighbours today said they were ‘surprised’ multimillionaire Sterling, 24, who lives in a £3million Cheshire mansion, had bought the properties – for around £166,000 each – in the unfashionable area of Reddish.

England football ace Raheem Sterling has invested some of his £300k-a-week salary by purchasing all six properties on this housing development in Stockport, Greater Manchester

Paige, a mum of one who lives in a £3m Cheshire mansion with her soccer ace fiance, posted about the couple’s property venture on the social media platform Instagram (pictured above)

Paige and Sterling (seen on a sun-kissed holiday earlier this year) have set up a new company called Milian Property Group Ltd and she says they plan to add to their property portfolio

They say a terraced house opposite is a former drugs den and claim anti-social behaviour with teenage boys playing football has been a problem in the past.

One resident living nearby the modern complex told MailOnline: ‘When the builders told me who had bought them I was gobsmacked.

Paige said she had been studying for months to get her property developer qualifications

‘It’s hardly a place you’d expect a millionaire footballer to invest in. I mean it is a bit rundown.

‘Next door to me there was a drugs den operating where the guy living there had turned the place into a cannabis factory.

‘I was woken up in the early hours by people knocking at my door because they had the wrong house.

‘Some troublemakers have also torn down the guttering behind the builders and people smoke cannabis but you get that everywhere.

‘I’ve been inside them and they are lovely but they are a bit expensive for the area.

‘They are advertised for £750 a month when most places around here go for less than that, more like £600.’

Marion Wray, 73, added: ‘I like the area. The only problems I’ve had are young teenage yobs playing football.

The row of six modern houses, in what is described by locals as an ‘unfashionable’ part of Stockport called Reddish, are now available to rent for around £750 per month (above)

By offering their properties for £750, Sterling and his fiancee will earn £4,500 per month from the income of their new property investment if all six houses are rented out at the same time

Paige, who has a young son with Sterling, posed in front of the complex and posted it on Instgram as she announced her arrival of the couple’s property development firm (above)

‘They were causing all sorts of problems with about a dozen of them having games in the street and kicking balls at people’s doors and windows. They broke a few things and caused havoc. If I see Raheem I’ll tell him.’

Sterling’s fiancée Paige Milian, 22, who has a young son with the star, announced that the couple had bought the complex on Instagram.

Sterling has enjoyed a glittering career with Liverpool, Manchester City and England

She wrote: ‘After months of studying property development, I achieved my qualification to become a property developer in 2018.

‘We then started a search of properties to add to our portfolio and was then succesful in purchasing six brand new houses.’

She added: ‘We plan to add more projects to our portfolio in the future.’

The couple have set up a company called Milian Property Group Ltd, of which they are both listed as directors.

The sleek, modern estate surrounded by red brick terraced houses, is built on the site of an former sign factory. Estate agents claim it is ‘an exciting new development’ of ‘luxury mews style homes’ with open plan kitchens, double glazing and gated private access.

However any would-be tenants are warned that pets are banned despite Sterling being a dog owner himself.

The footballer’s purchase has echoes of Liverpool cult hero Robbie Fowler after he nearly bought up a whole street in Oldham and at one point had more than 80 houses in his property portfolio across the UK.

Paige (pictured with Sterling when he played for Liverpool) said both she and her fiance want to expand their property portfolio in echos of Robbie Fowler, who once owned 80 homes

Liverpool fans used to sing: ‘We all live in a Robbie Fowler house’ when he used to play for them to the tune of the Beatles song Yellow Submarine.

Sterling, has won two Premier League titles with City after a £49 million move from Liverpool and appeared at two World Cups for England, has won widespread praise for leading the crusade against racism in football.

He was abused by Chelsea fans at Stamford Bridge and then criticised the media over racial prejudice.
