Police hunt woman after man is sexually assaulted on Euston Tube escalator

Police are hunting for a woman after a man was sexually assaulted on an escalator at Euston Tube station late at night.

The man was going up an escalator when a woman tried to link arms with him, then sexually assaulted him after he tried to get away from her, police said.

The suspect was with a friend when the alleged attack happened at around 9pm in Euston Underground station in central London last Friday, April 14.

After the alleged assault the women then boarded a tube train, according to the British Transport Police.

Detectives today have released CCTV images of a woman investigators want to question in connection with the incident.

The woman appears to have pale skin and straight, dark hair. She was wearing a beige skirt, and a black puffer coat.

A spokesman for the BTP said: ‘Do you recognise this woman? We’d like to speak to her in connection with a sexual assault at Euston Underground station on Friday 14 April.

‘At around 9pm, a man was travelling on the escalator when a woman tried to link arms with him.

‘When he pulled his arm away, she sexually assaulted him.

‘The woman, who was travelling with a friend, then left the escalator and boarded a tube.

‘Officers would like to speak to the woman in these images, as they believe she has information which may assist the investigation.’

The force have asked that anyone with information can contact BTP by calling 0800 40 50 40 or texting 61016 with reference 450 of April 15 or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
