A woman was struck and critically injured by a three-wheeled NYPD vehicle while she crossed the street in the Upper East Side on Friday afternoon, police said.

The 68-year-old woman was crossing Park Avenue on 67th Street at about 1 p.m. when the GO-4 NYPD vehicle — which are compact, narrow vehicles typically used by traffic cops — plowed into her, authorities said.

The woman was rushed to Weill Cornell Medical Center where she is clinging to life, police said. The NYPD officer who was driving the vehicle remained on the scene.

A witness said the officer was turning when the vehicle slammed into the woman.

“The cops came around the corner and the lady, the lady was lying on the ground like she was dead. But then the ambulance came and the paramedics picked her up and she came to,” the 70-year-old witness, who would not give his name, said.

Police are investigating the crash.
