MELANIA Trump will decorate the White House this Christmas for the last time as speculation swirls that she may divorce the president once he's out of office.
Following her husband’s election loss to Joe Biden, the First Lady will in fact continue on with the White House’s Christmas decoration tradition even after blasting the event in 2018.
Melania was recorded in 2018 – by her then-adviser, Stephanie Wolkoff – saying, “I’m working… my ass off on the Christmas stuff that you know. Who gives a f*** about the Christmas stuff and decorations? But I need to do it, right?”
Wolkoff, the First Lady’s longtime friend and former White House aide, shared the secret audio tapes with CNN last month while promoting her tell-all book, Melania & Me.
The holiday preparation comes at a turbulent moment between the First Lady and President Trump.
President Trump is refusing to concede his election loss to President-elect Joe Biden, while divorce rumors between him and Melania begin to swirl again.
On Wednesday, the president and the First Lady showed face for the first time since the results of the election, when they stepped out at a Veteran’s Day ceremony.
Melania appeared “tense” while Trump is under “clear pressure,” according to a body language expert.
Snaps of the couple were taken at Arlington National Cemetery in Virginia after reports claimed the First Lady is counting the minutes until she can divorce her husband of 15 years.
Melania was seen holding onto a serviceman’s arm away from Trump who stood just meters away – days after receiving the election results.
Body language expert Judi James spoke exclusively to Fabulous Digital and said, “Donald and Melania performed some of their most tactile and affectionate PDA’s on the run-up to the election, with Trump in particular looking keen to present himself as a loving family man, while Melania endorsed that image verbally in her rally speeches.
“With a defeat in sight through this latest appearance has been seen as prophetic and iconic, given the speculation and rumours that Melania might be poised to quit both the White House and her marriage,” James said.
“Arriving behind her husband and clutching the arm of a serviceman rather than her husband’s it might be easy to assume we’re seeing a pose that defines the state of the Trump’s marriage, with Melania watching poker-faced behind him and with her free hand curled in what looks like a gesture of tension.”
The divorce rumors spread after fired White House aide and The Apprentice star Omarosa Manigault Newman said she is certain they will split, reported the Daily Mail over the weekend.
“Melania is counting every minute until he is out of office and she can divorce.
“If Melania were to try to pull the ultimate humiliation and leave while he’s in office, he would find a way to punish her,” Newman said.
Newman- who made the claims in her tell-all Unhinged – has previously said the Trumps have a “very strange marriage.”
Newman told British daytime TV show Lorraine last month that Melania is “repulsed” by her husband, while alleging the Trump’s used separate bedrooms in the White House and had “a transactional marriage."
