Hilarious pictures show a cheeky dog wearing an elderly woman’s dentures after stealing them from under her pillow.

Psychology student Anna Carolina Lima shared the funny snaps on social media after Luna stole her grandmother’s false teeth in Minas Gerais, Brazil.

Ms Lima, 28, who is studying at Ponta Grossa university, said the dentures disappeared during their week-long visit and they could not find them after a lengthy search.

Ms Lima said her grandmother had been so desperate to find her teeth that she prayed to God.

But they soon realised Luna had stolen the dentures and was holding them in her mouth – which made it look like she was grinning.

She added to local media: ‘Hours later, Luna was playing around the house in the darkness and when I called, she came to me with a cute face and her tail wagging, jumping around, but she did not have them.

‘She is very clever, she picks things up and hides them.

‘Later on, I found Luna on the sofa with the teeth in her mouth, biting on them and refusing to give them up.

‘I was eventually able to distract her and take them away, luckily they were not damaged.’

Ms Lima said her and her grandmother could not stay mad at Luna (left and right), and that they ‘all love animals’

It can be hard to stay angry with dogs, and Portsmouth University research suggests their eyes have evolved to boost human interaction.

Researchers looked at the anatomy of hounds compared to wolves and found that due to domestication, dogs now have muscles in their faces that which means they the inner part of their eyebrows.

The scientists found that the movement caused a fondness in humans due to the dogs’ eyes looking large and more like children.

Scientists say the evolutionary step took around 33,000 years – dating back from when our ancestors first started to domesticate wolves.

This is considered a rapid change in evolutionary terms – and is the only example of an animal whose facial expression has changed as a result of domestication.

It means that dogs are able to show more ‘human-like’ eye expressions than even our closest relative in nature, the chimpanzee.
